Welcome to our New Lady members. Both present lady members and the Tee-Timers enjoyed a great game of golf followed by a get together in the clubhouse on 31th August. The Ladies Section welcome them and hope they will enjoy their new membership and soon feel part of the club. Our thanks go to Anne Biggs, Lilian Bennett,and Gary the Pro, for without their help and ideas, Tee-Time at Tyneside would not have happened  and we would be without our new friends.

Congratulations to our A Team players for winning the league and retaining the Anderson Shield for the 5th consecutive year.

Well done to Pat and Karen for their first round win in the Thomlinsons last week. Hard lines to the two Sue’s who went to represent us in the Bronze division. Good luck the the Silver team in the next round on 6th September.

Also well played the ladies who represented Tyneside in the Margaret Jones Match against Ryton last Sunday. A great win!.

There are free clinics arranged for ladies who received a green voucher when paying their subs. The dates are Friday 6th August at 10am, Friday 6th August at 6:30pm and Saturday 21st August at 10am. Three topics will be covered at each session so if you can only attend one you will not miss a topic. Please book at the Pro’s shop as soon as possible if you wish to attend.

Pat McIntosh and Anne Biggs played in the matchplay final and Pat became the champion for the 5th consecutive year. Mary Brand had a wonderful day winning the Nett trophy, the Bronze Cup and the Tyro Cup. Well done to all the players who had good scores despite the very strong wind.
